News from the President

Posted by cadyland  Published in Uncategorized

Just wanted to let everyone know that our original plans to eliminate the Friday, July 2, 2010 Fish Run have been overturned.
We will be meeting at the KMart in Portage for the regular run at 6:30PM due to interest from our members at the last steak run.
Plan on starting your holiday weekend with us.
On a sadder note, another of our own has lost a family member. Ron and Kari Wagner have lost Ron’s sister to cancer last week, after a long courageous battle. Our sympathy is sent to them from deep in our hearts.

Our Heartfelt Sympathy

Posted by cadyland  Published in Uncategorized

We have been informed recently of the loss of two of our members. Realizing how precious life is, we send our deepest sympathy to the friends and family members of Jean Wescott and to Ben, Betty and Henry Nadolski for the loss of Heather. Our hope for comfort for the families is shared by all club members, knowing that their sufferering is over and they are now at peace.

Check out the March Issue of the Corvette Enthusiast Magazine.
One of our own is featured toward the back of the magazine.
This is not the first time this car has gotten attention from Corvette people who know a good one when they see one.
If you don’t subscribe, you can still view it online by going to their website and logging on.

Test & Tune

Posted by Doug  Published in Uncategorized

TEST AND TUNE IS BACK —–

BUT THIS TIME IT IS JUST EAST OF MERRIMAC.

Come join the mechanics of the club, looking under their hoods or using the carlift to see their bottoms on Saturday, April 18th beginning around 10AM. If you need to change your oil, bring your own.

The ladies can chat and sit in the sun and certainly we will have some fun. We will provide lunch (courtesy of the club) , so let us know if you will be able to come.

Place – The Cady’s

W11862 Oak Street

Merrimac, WI

608-493-2187

Please, bring your own chairs. Also, if you can, bring a dessert or something to munch on. Soda and beer will be provided.

Please RSVP by Thursday, April 16, so I have time to buy supplies. Folks coming from the west should avoid Hwy 78 through Merrimac as it is under construction. The ferry is running and you can take Baraboo Street in Merrimac to Reusch Road. Then head east to Hwy 78, County Hwy U and then onto Cedar Park Road. Our gravel road is just past the mailboxes, turn to the left and down the hill. We are on the corner of Oak, Lake and Cherry Streets. Call if you need better directions.

Because of the late planning of this event, there will be no mailing of this notice, so please inform your friends in the club without email.

HOPE TO SEE YOU !!

2009 ANNUAL MEETING

Posted by Doug  Published in Uncategorized

Please plan to attend the Columbia County Corvette Club 2009 Annual Meeting on April 4th. We hope that you all can take this opportunity to join your fellow club member for an enjoyable evening of good food and conversation. It will be held at The Northwood Bar & Grill at the Spring Brook Golf Course in Wisconsin Dells. We have a number of things to accomplish at this meeting such as membership renewals starting at 6:00pm and the meal at 7:00.  We also have elections for two officer’s positions and the planning of the years run schedule.

The Northwoods Bar & Grill has put together a group menu for us and there will be a cash bar.  They ask that we help them be prepared for the evening by indicating in advance our food choices and the number of people that plan on attending. Please look at the special menu shown and email or call me with your choices or questions.
